AION 2 Arcana Guide (Global): Cards, Sets and Skill Levels

What is Arcana in AION 2?

Arcana are cards you slot for extra skill levels and stats. They matter because they are the only way to push a skill past its other caps: skill points stop at 10, Daevanion blue nodes add up to 4, rings add up to 2, and Arcana covers the rest of the way to 20. Every class build lists which skills to roll for on each card.

Which card does what?

Each card also carries a stat type such as Time (Combat Speed), Life, Freedom (Accuracy), Destruction (Attack), Wisdom (Double Chance), Illusion (cooldowns) or Death (Critical Hit).

Which Arcana set should you use?

• Primal Vigor: +60 PvE Attack at 2 pieces, +150 at 4, while your HP is at 70% or more. The default for damage builds.
• Magic Armor: a common 2-piece partner when your class runs short on MP (Gladiator often switches to it).

Popular setups are four Primal Vigor cards plus one Magic Armor card, or three Primal Vigor plus two Magic Armor.

How do you get and upgrade Arcana?

1. Transcendence opens at 1,600 item level and drops random Arcana.
2. Around 1,800 item level, the second reward pool gives blue cards; lower pools give green.
3. Higher Transcendence tiers (around 2,800 item level) give gold cards.
4. Refining rerolls a card’s properties using Mysterious Crystals plus Kinah. Extracting unwanted Arcana gives crystals back.

Arcana also adds item level: a full green set adds about 200, and upgrading to blue adds about 100 more.
