AION 2 Global vs Korea: Every Difference That Matters

How is AION 2 Global different from Korea?

Global is a separate service that launched on October 5, 2026, almost a year after Korea and Taiwan (November 19, 2025). It is not a copy of the current Korean game: it runs its own seasons with tighter limits on stigmas, levels and gear. Active skills and passives are identical, but anything built on stigmas or level-50 content needs adjusting. Our class builds are written for Global only.

Differences at a glance

What changes for stigmas?

Global gives you 4 stigma slots capped at level 20. Korean builds that rely on a fifth or sixth slot, or on level-25 effects, don’t work here. Examples:

• Assassin: the level-25 tier makes Illusive Clone permanent in Korea. On Global it stays a timed burst. See the Assassin build.
• Cleric: level-25 bonuses like Double Chance on Light of Protection don’t exist on Global.
• Every class: you fill four slots, so utility stigmas compete harder for space.

What changes for the Daevanion boards?

Global has five boards (Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel, Triniel and Azphel) and no Ariel board. Board bonuses are also weaker than on Taiwan. Plan your nodes with the Daevanion guide.

What else is different?

• Brawler isn’t on Global. See Brawler release status.
• Gear: no Heroic gear in Season 1, so gear has fewer lines that raise passive skills.
• PvP: everyone started on the same limited gear, and no PvP meta had formed at launch.
• Group content: 5-player expeditions and 10-player sanctuaries; Elyos and Asmodians can queue together.
• Reset times: Global resets daily at 07:00 UTC. See the reset timer.
